Working with children and understanding why they do what they do has been Suzy’s passion for the past couple of decades. Suzy understands that every child is different and every family has a different set of philosophies. She has read just about every book on the matter of sleep, nutrition and discipline and can adjust the support to fit the parenting style.
Suzy’s philosophy is based on balance, and finding it when looking for a parenting solution. The two most important aspects of working with children are setting limits and creating connection. Children feel safer when they know what the boundaries are, and limits can only be set in a positive way when empathy is in the center of all interactions.
Suzy Burger has a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and over 20 years of experience working with families and children in public schools and private schools here in Colorado and internationally. She has been trained in many different curricula and philosophies designed to help children’s behavior.
Suzy is certified with a level 1 coaching credential through Colorado Coaching Consortium.
Suzy is also an affiliate at the Joy Collective a place for expectant moms, new moms and their growing families in Boulder.
She has her own twin boys who help keep her honest.
